Position Title: Restaurant Manager
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
Position Location: 1845 Carling Avenue Ottawa, ON K2A 1E4
Compensation/ hours per week: 40-44 hours per week, $22-$25 per hour
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients of our foodshop
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
- Provide inventory and price management, including the shipping and receiving of product.
- Liaison with outside suppliers
- Support staff recruitment, oversee staff training and provide progress updates and feedback.
- Create staff work schedule, monitor labour and adjust schedules in accordance with needs of the business.
- Monitor staff performance
- Resolve customer complaints or “code reds”, provide quality control and ensure follow up with Kitchen and Bakery teams.
- Provide feedback on changes to type of services or products offered. Bring recommendations based on sales as well as customer feedback.
- Be a “brand ambassador” knowledgeable about all of our goods and services including take home food, bakery, take home catering and offsite catering offerings.
Job Requirements
Languages
- English
Education
- Completion of a college or other program related to Hospitality, Event Management or Food and Beverage Service management
Experience
- 3-5 years in a customer focused, leadership role involving retail and food service.
Additional Skills
- Strong client focus
- Highly organized
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Work under pressure
- Food Handler’s Certification
